Admissions

We are pleased to welcome children from all local families.

We take about 40 children a day aged between 2½ and 4 years old. Children usually start the term of their third birthday, either at the beginning of the Autumn or Spring term; and stay until they are ready for school.  We do not have a summer intake so some 2½ year olds will be considered for starting in the Spring Term.

Children stay with us until they are ready for school, usually aged four to move to local state and independent schools.

Priority is given to a child whose sibling attends or has attended the Barn Nursery.

Thereafter, for each term of entry (Autumn and Spring), places are allocated in order of date of registration.

Free Places

The Barn Nursery offers two free places to children receiving Early Education Funding whose families are in financial need.  These places are allocated subject to status and availability.  The final decision of eligibility of being offered a place will be made by a panel of the Parent Committee following the closing date for applications.

Please contact the Manager for further information.

I am delighted with the wonderful experiences my boys have had, and continue to enjoy at The Barn Nursery.

It is a loving and caring environment run by a talented team of individuals who greet my children with a beaming smile at the door and offer an array of engaging and educative activities each and every morning. First class!
